MARINE FORECAST FOR SEAS AROUND CURAÇAO:

Synopsis:
A gentle to moderate wind will lead to a rather tranquil local seas with waves
peaking to about 6 foot over the outer water. A somewhat moist air stream could
cause a few isolated showers from time to time, while winds are expected to
gradually weaken as the week progresses and result in subsiding seas. Also a
thin layer of Saharan dust haze is visible in the area.
Weather:
Partly cloudy to sunny sky with a chance of a few showers.
Visibility:
15 to 25 kilometer in hazy condition.
Winds:
East to northeast and gentle to moderate; force 3 to 4 (12 to 30 km/h, 7 to 16
knots). Occasionally, fresh in gusts; force 5 (31 to 39 km/h, 17 to 21 knots).
Seas:
Slight to moderate with waves between 0.5 and 1.5 meter (2 and 5 feet).

Synopsis.....Tropical Storm Erin is near 16.4N 41.8W at 5 AM EDT,
and is moving west at 16 kt. Maximum sustained winds are 45 kt
with gusts to 55 kt, and the minimum central pressure is 1004 mb.
Erin will move to 16.3N 42.6W Wed morning, 16.2N 45.5W Wed
evening, and 16.6N 48.4W Thu morning, Tropical Storm Erin will
reach 17.3N 51.4W Thu evening, strengthen to a hurricane near
18.1N 54.6W Fri morning, and be near 18.9N 57.5W Fri evening.
Hurricane Erin will change little in intensity as it moves to the
north of the Leeward Islands late Sat. Elsewhere, a westward-
moving tropical wave over the northwest Caribbean along 86W will
bring showers and thunderstorms to Honduras, Belize, the Yucatan
Peninsula, and adjacent waters into Wednesday, along with locally
heavy rainfall, gusty winds, frequent lightning, and locally rough seas.
