A strong and stable high over the Atlantic supports an occasional strong wind
across the forecast waters.
Wind driven waves could build today to about 7 foot, but increases during the
next several days as wind
strengthens.
Weather:
Generally partly cloudy with a chance of a few local showers. Winds are expected
to be breezy and visibility will be slightly reduced.
Visibility:
15 to 25 kilometer.
Winds:
Easterly and moderate to fresh; force 4 to 5 (20 to 39 km/h, 11 to 21 knots).
Higher gust to strong; force 6 (40 to 50 km/h, 22 to 27 knots).
Seas:
Moderate with wave heights between 1 and 2 meters (3 and 7 feet).

Synopsis.....Fresh to strong trade winds will prevail across the
central Caribbean and Windward Passage today, as high pressure
strengthens in the central Atlantic. Periods of near-gale force
winds and rough/very rough seas are likely in the offshore of
northern Colombia nightly into the weekend. Winds will diminish
on Sun, with seas subsiding by late Sun into next week. In the
Gulf of Honduras, pulsing fresh to strong winds will develop each
afternoon and evening through Sat. Moderate to fresh trade winds
and moderate seas will prevail over the eastern basin into next
week.
