Weather:
, 11:00 l.t. (15:00 UTC). CODE YELLOW: A CAUTIONARY STATEMENT FOR ROUGH SEAS IS IN EFFECT. Weather: Generally partly cloudy with a decreasing chance of showers as the day progresses. Visibility will remain slightly reduced with increasing wind. Forecast high will be 31ºC, and the low will be 26ºC. Sunrise will occur at 06:11 and sunset at 19:01.

Easterly and moderate to fresh; force 4 to 5 (20 to 39 km/h, 11 to 21 knots). Occasionally strong to near gale in gusts; force 6 to 7 (40 to 61 km/h, 22 to 33 knots).

Synopsis:
During the next 24 hours, the atmospheric conditions over our region will continue to be favorable for cloud development due to a tropical wave over the central Caribbean, which is moving in a westerly direction. Some of these clouds may occasionally generate a few showers over and around our island, but this activity is expected to diminish later. Furthermore, the wind will remain moderate to occasionally quite strong due to an increase in air pressure differences during the coming days, resulting in quite rough sea conditions. Also, the presence of fine dust from the Sahara will continue to limit visibility in our area. During the past 24 hours up to eight o''clock this morning, the following rainfall amounts were measured on our island: Spaanse Water 31.8 mm, Seru Kokori 5.4 mm, Midden-Seinpost 21.2 mm, Van Engelen 24.3 mm, Sun Valley 19.0 mm, Steenrijk 31.2 mm, Punda 30.6 mm, Santa Maria 30.2 mm, Seru Mahuma 19.2 mm, Hato 22.2 mm and Savonet 26.4 mm.

Sea conditions:
Moderate to locally quite rough with wave heights of 1.5 to 2.5 meter (4 to 8 feet). The highest waves are mainly located to the north and east of the island. For this reason, a precautionary statement for rough seas (Code Yellow) is still in effect and swimmers and seafarers are advised not to venture far from the coast.

Significant tropical weather systems:
None.

Special features:
None.

Outlook until Monday midday:
Partly cloudy, mostly dry and windy.

Forecaster:
Vrutaal.

The next weather forecast will be issued on Saturday 17:00 l.t. (21:00 UTC).
