Boletin semanal 20 Nov te ku 26 Nov 2023
Weather Forecast for Curaçao and surroundings valid until Tuesday midday 12:00
l.t., July 1, 2025.
Issued:
Monday June 30, 2025, 11:00 l.t. (15:00 UTC).
Weather:
STATEMENT FOR ROUGH SEAS IS IN EFFECT FOR NORTHERN AND
EASTERN COASTAL SECTIONS OF CURAÇAO.
Weather: Partly cloudy and generally dry conditions are expected, with light
haze and quite a lot of wind throughout the day.
Forecast high will be 32ºC, and the low will be 27ºC.
Sunrise will occur at 06:15 and sunset at 19:04.
Winds:
Easterly and moderate to fresh; force 4 to 5 (20 to 39 km/h, 11 to 21
knots). Occasionally strong, reaching near gale force at times; force 6 to 7 (40
to 61 km/h, 22 to 33 knots).
Synopsis:
Over the next 24 hours, generally dry conditions are expected;
however, pockets of moisture associated with a recent tropical wave may trigger
brief, insignificant showers at times. Additionally, low concentrations of
Saharan dust affecting the region are expected to slightly reduce visibility and
air quality on our island later this afternoon. A ridge pattern following the
wave will lead to relatively stronger winds and higher sea conditions.
Sea conditions:
Moderate to quite rough with wave heights between 1.5 and 2.5
meters (4 and 8 feet). The highest waves are mainly located to the north and
east of the island. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution, and swimmers
should stay close to shore. A cautionary statement (code yellow) is therefore in
effect.
Significant tropical weather systems:
None.
Special features:
None.
Outlook until Wednesday midday:
Partly cloudy with occasional sunny periods. A
chance of brief, isolated showers is expected on Wednesday morning.
Forecaster:
Kasmani.
The next weather forecast will be issued on Monday 17:00 l.t. (21:00 UTC).
