Weather:
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies, hazy with an overall dry condition
through the remainder of today. Mainly tomorrow morning however, there exists a
chance of a couple of rain showers locally.
Forecast high will be 32ºC, and the low will be 27ºC.
Sunrise will occur at 06:10 and sunset at 18:57.
Winds:
Easterly and moderate to fresh: force 4 to 5 (20 to 39 km/h, 11 to 21
knots). Occasionally higher gusts to strong; force 6 (40 to 50 km/h, 22 to 27
knots). Lighter in the night.
Synopsis:
A somewhat moist and weak unstable lower atmosphere will cause
cloudiness at times with possibility of an isolated shower over the area of our
island, while a plume of Saharan dust continue to reduce the visible range and
air quality over the region. Furthermore, a strong Atlantic high pressure system
will generate relatively strong easterly winds and above normal seas during the
next day or two.
Sea conditions:
Generally moderate with wave heights of 1 to 2 meters (3 to 7
feet). The highest wave action will be over the northern exposed sea area.

None.Today June 1st, the 2025 Atlantic
hurricane season starts officially. As usual, the Meteorological Department
Curaçao will monitor all disturbances that could pose a threat to our island.
If necessary, we will issue warnings to the general public and the authorities
of Curaçao. The names reserved for this year’s tropical storms and hurricanes
are: Andrea, Barry, Chantal, Dexter, Erin, Fernand, Gabrielle, Humberto, Imelda,
Jerry, Karen, Lorenzo, Melissa, Nestor, Olga, Pablo, Rebekah, Sebastien, Tanya,
Van and Wendy.
