Synopsis:
A westward-moving tropical wave in the vicinity of our islands, along
with some influences from the Inter tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), is
providing sufficient moisture and will affect the weather over our area through
the first part of tomorrow morning. This enhances significant cloud development,
causing periods of showers and local thunderstorms. Besides, the extension of an
Atlantic high-pressure will generate relatively strong winds, resulting in
moderate to quite rough sea conditions.
Sea conditions:
Moderate to quite rough with wave heights of 1.5 to 2.5 meters
(4 to 8 feet). The highest waves are mainly located over the northern and
eastern part of the island. It is advised that mariners exercise caution when
navigating in these conditions. Therefore, a cautionary statement for rough seas
(code yellow) is in effect.
Significant tropical weather systems:
None.
Special features:
None.
Outlook until Sunday evening:
Partly cloudy in general with a chance of a shower
locally through the morning.
