Synopsis:
An area of fine Saharan dust will raise the concentration in our
region over the coming days. This will reduce visibility once again in our area
from the beginning of the new week. Furthermore, the high pressure over the
northern Atlantic continues to induce a moderate to fairly strong force the wind
regime over the Southern Caribbean area . As a result, this is responsible for
maintaining a rough sea condition.
Sea conditions:
Moderate to locally quite rough with wave heights of 1.5 to 2
meter (4 to 7 feet). The highest waves are mainly located to the north and east
of the island. Despite a cautionary message for rough seas (Code Yellow) has
been canceled, swimmers and sailors are advised to exercise caution when
navigating these maritime zones.
