CODE YELLOW: CAUTIONARY STATEMENT FOR ROUGH SEAS.

Weather:
day June 2, 2025, 17:00 l.t. (21:00 UTC). CODE YELLOW: CAUTIONARY STATEMENT FOR ROUGH SEAS. Weather: Generally partly cloudy, mainly dry with breezy conditions. Visibility remains limited. Forecast high will be 32ºC, and the low will be 27ºC. Sunrise will occur at 06:10 and sunset at 18:58.

Winds:
Easterly and moderate to fresh: force 4 to 5 (20 to 39 km/h, 11 to 21 knots). Occasionally higher gusts, strong to near gale; force 6 to 7 (40 to 61 km/h, 22 to 33 knots).

Synopsis:
A high pressure difference in our region will continue to provide a generally fairly strong wind on our island mainly during the day. This results in a sea that continues locally quite rough over the next few days. During the rest of today and also tomorrow a relatively dry air flow will pass over our region limiting development of significant clouds. This will provide for a dry weather condition over most parts of our island. Also, fine dust from the Sahara is expected to reduce visibility during the next days.

Sea conditions:
Moderate to quite rough with wave heights of 1.5 to 2.5 meters (4 to 8 feet). The highest wave action will be over the northern and eastern exposed sea area.

Significant tropical weather systems:
None.

Special features:
None.

Outlook until Wednesday evening:
Partly cloudy with a chance of a local shower. Fairly strong winds and reduced visibility.

Forecaster:
Vrutaal.

The next weather forecast will be issued on Tuesday 05:00 l.t. (09:00 UTC).
