Forecast

Weather Forecast for Curaçao and surroundings valid until Wednesday morning 6:00 l.t., June 11, 2025.

Issued:
Tuesday June 10, 2025, 05:00 l.t. (09:00 UTC).

CODE YELLOW: A CAUTIONARY STATEMENT FOR EXCESSIVE SAHARAN DUST IS IN EFFECT FOR CURAÇAO.

Weather:
C). CODE YELLOW: A CAUTIONARY STATEMENT FOR EXCESSIVE SAHARAN DUST IS IN EFFECT FOR CURAÇAO. Weather: Partly cloudy sky and hazy. Somewhat breezy at times and mainly today with a slight chance of a brief isolated shower. Forecast high will be 32ºC, and the low will be 27ºC. Sunrise will occur at 06:11 and sunset at 19:00.

Winds:
Easterly and moderate to fresh; force 4 to 5 (20 to 39 km/h, 12 to 21 knots). Mainly in the day, occasionally strong in gusts; force 6 (40 to 50 km/h, 22 to 27 knots).

Synopsis:
Conditions across the region will be sunny to partly cloudy as an extended high pressure couples with an environment low in moisture to produce little or no shower activity over the area of our island. However, gradual increasing moisture and instability associated with a slow moving tropical wave will likely heighten the chances of rain activity on the island during the latter part of this forecast period. A layer of haze envelopes the eastern Caribbean as air quality remains poor over our area today and there may still be some health concerns for people sensitive to air pollution. Therefore, a cautionary statement for excessive Saharan dust (code yellow) stays in effect through parts of today. Furthermore, small craft operators are advised to exercise caution, because of reduced visibility and rough seas.

Sea conditions:
Moderate with wave heights of 1.5 to 2 meters (4 to 7 feet). The highest wave action is in general over the exposed seas.

Significant tropical weather systems:
None.

Special features:
None.

Outlook until Thursday morning:
Dry conditions will hold for the most part approaching Thursday and an increase in rain chances is expected from this day onward.

Forecaster:
Coffie

The next weather forecast will be issued on Tuesday 11:00 l.t. (15:00 UTC).
