Synopsis:
A tropical disturbance embedded within the Intertropical Convergence
Zone (ITCZ) is currently influencing weather conditions over the ABC Islands.
Atmospheric conditions remain favorable for significant cloud development,
resulting in intermittent periods of scattered showers across the region. Some
of these showers may be moderate to heavy, with the potential to cause localized
flooding, particularly in low-lying areas. Isolated thunderstorms cannot be
ruled out, and gusty winds may accompany shower activity. Gradual improvement is
expected toward the evening. Tonight and into tomorrow, cloud cover will
increase again, bringing moderate showers and a continued risk of isolated
thunderstorms.
During the past 24 hours up to eight o''clock this morning, the following
rainfall amounts were recorded on our island: Seru Mahuma 9.0 mm, Hato: 8.0 mm,
Soto 7.0 mm, Seru Kokori 2.5 mm, Santa Maria 2.0 mm, Savonet 1.5 mm, Spaanse
Water 1.0 mm, Punda 0.5 mm, Steenrijk 0.5 mm, Savonet 0.2 mm, Sun Valley 0.2 mm.
