CODE YELLOW: A CAUTIONARY STATEMENT FOR ROUGH SEAS IS IN EFFECT
Weather: Fair sky along a dry condition tonight. In the late night, increasing
clouds with chances for scattered showers.
Forecast high will be 32ºC, and the low will be 26ºC.
Sunrise will occur at 06:21 and sunset at 19:03.
Winds:
Easterly and moderate to fresh; force 4 to 5 (20 to 39 km/h, 11 to 21
knots). Occasionally strong in gusts; force 6 (40 to 50 km/h, 22 to 27 knots).
Synopsis:
A high pressure system is the dominant feature and it will keep strong
winds over the Southern Caribbean region tonight and for most of tomorrow.
Reasoning this, fairly rough sea conditions can be expected over the most
exposed areas windward of the island. In addition a tropical wave currently
moving over the central Caribbean basin will contribute to increased moisture
levels across the ABC Islands, supporting areas of cloud development. Occasional
passing cloud patches may produce brief showers over Curaçao by daybreak. Also,
chances for some thunder rumble is present.
Sea conditions:
Generally moderate with wave heights between 1.5 and 2.5 meter
(4 and 8 feet). The highest wave action is over the north and east near coastal
and exposed waters. Boaters are advised to be cautious when over or transiting
these sections.

Humid air from the northeast will condition the
atmosphere for morning showers and increased cloudiness. Winds will diminish
slightly.
