Issued:
Thursday August 14, 2025, 11:00 l.t. (15:00 UTC).
Weather:
Light to partly cloudy with slight haze from the Saharan dust. An
isolated shower possible, but overall dry and fair conditions expected.
Forecast high will be 33ºC, and the low will be 27ºC.
Sunrise will occur at 06:24 and sunset at 18:56.
Winds:
Easterly and gentle to moderate; force 3 to 4 (12 to 30 km/h, 7 to 16
knots). Occasional gusts to fresh; force 5 (31 to 39 km/h, 17 to 21 knots).
Synopsis:
A weak tropical wave located east of the ABC Islands is currently
influencing the regional weather pattern. Despite the presence of dry air,
occasional passing showers may occur during the day, although no significant
precipitation is expected. Low concentrations of Saharan dust remain present in
the atmosphere, resulting in hazy skies, slightly reduced visibility, and a
mildly degraded air quality. Conditions are expected to improve overnight, with
predominantly fair weather prevailing into tomorrow. Isolated daytime showers
may still develop under hazy conditions, but overall, dry and stable weather is
expected.
Sea conditions:
Slight to moderate with wave heights between 0.5 and 1.5 meter
(2 and 5 feet).
Significant tropical weather systems:
Tropical Storm Erin, currently situated
east of the northern Leeward Islands, is moving west-northwest and is forecast
to intensify into a hurricane by Friday. Environmental conditions suggest
further strengthening into a major hurricane by Sunday. According to current
projections, Erin poses no threat to Curaçao.
Special features:
None.
Outlook until Saturday midday:
Partly cloudy with a slight risk of isolated
showers and lighter winds.
Forecaster:
Kasmani.
The next weather forecast will be issued on Thursday 17:00 l.t. (21:00 UTC).
